A Rediscovered Legacy – Börje Windfeldt’s Films

Filmmaker Joakim Jalin has edited and produced the official trailer and concert film for En som älskar – a larger documentary project directed and produced by Göran Du Rées. The film explores the remarkable life and work of Börje Windfeldt, a passionate amateur filmmaker from Helsingborg who created over 40 animated and experimental films across three decades. His works, rich in imagination, critique, and handmade technique, were once celebrated in amateur film circles, but gradually forgotten – until rediscovered in Folkrörelsearkivet.

Joakim’s trailer and concert cut capture the essence of this rediscovery: Börje’s animations brought back to life on the big screen, accompanied by newly composed live music by the duo YoJuliet. With careful editing and color grading, the live footage becomes a tribute not only to Börje’s artistry, but to the enduring power of creative freedom.
